Brazil's Cemig receives nominations for CEO, chairman roles from Minas state SAO PAULO, Aug 28 (Reuters) - Brazilian power firm Cemig CMIG3.SA said on Friday its controlling shareholder, the Minas Gerais state, nominated Marcio Augusto Nunes to become the company's chief executive, while current CEO Alexandre Ramos was put forward as chairman.
The Brazil Journal had reported this week that Minas Gerais state Governor Mateus Simoes intended to replace Cemig's CEO to satisfy political allies ahead of a local reelection bid. Nunes was the frontrunner to succeed Ramos, the report said.
